The 10th annual Allscripts Tobacco Road Marathon (TRM) and its companion Half Marathon are scheduled to take place in Cary next year. Inside-Out Sports hosts these two charitable events.

Founder and President of TRM, Kazem Yahyapour, who has qualified for the Boston Marathon 11 times, said that in 2017 these events garnered $155,000 and since their start in 2010 have received a total cumulative amount of $916,000. The goal is to reach $1m for 2019. He added that this has been made possible by the running community of North Carolina, the sponsors and partners, and others who run in America.

The American Tobacco Trail is used for the race. It lined with pine trees and has a flat, granite course. Runner’s World Magazine named it among the top nine new best marathons in 2014.

Wade County Parks and Recreation, the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, Hope for the Warriors, and the American Red Cross are some of the charities that benefit from the proceeds of the race.

The TRM Association is a non-profit organization provides financial assistance to charities through the efforts of the running community in the North Carolina Triangle area. The two races are scheduled for March 17.

Banner printing companies can be hired to create banners and displays throughout the community so that people can learn more about such organizations and their fundraising efforts and achievements.
