Grand marshal selection marks special Frankfort fall festival

The grand marshal for the annual parade that takes place during the Frankfort Fall Festival has recently been named by Bob Peters, chairman of the festival for this year.

Marla Krippel, a member of the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, has been with the Chamber for 20 years and devoted much of her energy and time to the festival over the years.

Peters commented that this year is 20th year that Krippel has been with the Chamber. As this is also the 50th anniversary of the festival, he said that this is a good way to mark these two monumental occasions.

Krippel began her service with the Chamber as a volunteer, answering phones a week before the festival during a very busy time. Since then, she has focused her efforts on the Artisan Committee, processing applications and taking care of other such duties.

This year’s Fall Festival will be during the weekend of September 1 through September 3 in the historic downtown area of the village. The parade takes place on Sunday, September 2. The festival features the works of over 300 artisans from across the United States, together with live music, food, and carnival rides.

Banner printing companies can be hired to create displays throughout the community so that people learn about such special events and accomplishments.
