Coral Springs area boomers go to expo

Later this month, Coral Springs residents of the “baby boomer” era and other senior citizens will be going to the upcoming Silver Dollar Boomer Expo presented by Senior Life Magazine and Boomer Times, and sponsored by Clear Captions and Apple Insurance.

Between 1,000 and 5,000 visitors are expected to attend the free event, where over 100 exhibitors will be on hand passing out business cards and information on fashion, travel, entertainment, technology, health, wellness, and finances. Some exhibitors will be New York Life, Flying International Travels, James Wells Insurance and Tony L. Smith Pa Reality.

Local health centers and businesses will include Imagine Therapy, AGI Medical, and Dental Centers, Coventry Health Care of Florida, and the Memorial Healthcare System.

Veterans and their families are especially invited to attend the expo. A Veterans Recognition Ceremony will begin at 11:00 am with a color guard salute. Veterans will be eligible for the cash drawing in which 10 lucky vets will receive 100 silver dollars each. Those veterans that RSVP will have their names put on the event’s Honor Board.

A total of 50 premium prizes will be given away. One will be a flat screen HDTV and some others will be cruises for two.

The Silver Dollar Expo will be Tuesday, July 24 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at Seminole Casino Coconut Pavilion, 5550 NW 40th Street, Coconut Creek.
