Conroe pays tribute to iconic bands

Conroe will be rocking with a music festival featuring cover bands paying homage to seven iconic ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s bands. The one-day Tribute to Conroe Music Festival will be held in mid-August.

Pearl Jam will be covered by Lemon Yellow, Van Halen by VHT, Police by Synchronicity III, and Bon Jovi by Let it Rock. Vatican Music will be paying tribute to Stone Temple Pilots, Whole Lotta Led will cover Led Zeppelin, and Hysterimania will honor Def Leppard. Fans are sure to be digging out their old band promotional products and bringing them to the event to share memories.

Local artisans will be displaying their original works for purchase, and boutique vendors will be offering their unique items. Kids can play in the Free Kids Zone and food trucks will be hawking their summer treats.

Tickets for the event range from $5 general admission to $65 for VIP. VIP ticket includes a badge and wristband that will allow entrance into the private tented area. There, guests can sit and enjoy the private bar. A $10 food voucher is also included that guests may use at any venue food vendor. Also with the VIP ticket. a VIP Food Pass allows the purchaser to skip the lines at the food vendors, get unlimited soft drinks, and receive a VIP swag bag.

Tribute to Conroe Music Festival will take place August 11 from 1:00 pm until 11:00 pm at the Heritage Place Amphitheater, 500 Collins Street.
