A quartet of new restaurants will be opening in San Diego soon, as Fox Restaurant Concepts expands its presence in the city.

Fox is the founder of True Food Kitchen, and owns Del Mar’s Flower Child. In San Diego, it plans to open two in Fashion Valley, one in Coronado, and one in Carmel Valley. In some cases, Fox will take over existing premises; in others, it will built the restaurant from the ground up.

The first of the four new restaurants will be built from the ground up as a standalone structure at Fashion Valley Mall; it will house Blanco Tacos + Tequila, which will serve modern Mexican food. This location should open in the fall of this year.

The second of the four will also open at Fashion Valley in the spring of 2019. This will be a North Italia concept, which will take over the former California Pizza Kitchen premises on the second floor of the mall.

The third restaurant will be another North Italia, this time to be opened at One Paseo, a mixed-use development now under construction in Carmel Valley. This location will open in Spring 2019.

The fourth concept, which has not been named yet, will be located on Orange Avenue in Coronado, taking over the space occupied by Costa Azul, which will be closing soon. It too should open in 2019.

Managers of concepts like this can distribute promotional products to help build brand recognition.
