August event to help build strong Eden Prairie neighborhoods

July 12, 2018 by

Neighbors knowing neighbors can help lead to a community with a strong spirit of unity, and Eden Prairie will be putting this theory into practice during a special summertime event.

Neighborhoods all across the city are encouraged to plan an evening celebration as part of ‘Night to Unite’. They can include games and other activities as well as a cookout or just mingling over a cold drink in the plans for their event, and those who organize a function are asked to register theirs with the city.

Members of the Eden Prairie police and fire services, as well as city officials, will be stopping by the individual parties to meet and greet the guests. At each stop, they will collect donations of nonperishable foods and other items for the area’s food pantries. The neighborhood able to collect the largest donation of food will be treated to an ice cream social to thank them for their efforts.

This annual event is organized by the city, and all residents are highly encouraged to participate. Banner printing and other services that can help to make an occasion like this even more festive can be provided by an area printer.

August 7 has been designated as ‘Night to Unite’ in Eden Prairie. Its website can be consulted for more information, planning tips, and links to register an event.
