Long Beach to decide the best barbecue

July 11, 2018 by

The Long Beach BBQ Festival is taking place next month over three days.

The festival will give the public the opportunity to sample some of the best barbecued food in the city and vote on their favorites. Grillers will be competing for Best BBQ and for the People’s Choice Award. Pitmasters will be competing with local grill masters to take the titles.

In addition to the food, there will be lots of fun activities taking place over the three-day festival. The children’s area will have an animal talent show, a petting zoo, games and a dance floor. The event will also feature a souvenir photo booth, a live sports tent where events will be screened and a karaoke lounge. There will also be a live reptile exhibit.

Musical entertainment comes courtesy of local groups such as Crowd Theory, The Eric Turner Band, and The Replicas Music Variety Band.

VIP tickets are available for purchase that include all-you-can-eat barbecue in the VIP Rib Village. Tickets are $99 in advance and $109 at the door for adults, $34 or $39 for children between the ages of 10 and 16 and $28 or $20 for children aged 9 and younger.

Long Beach banner printing companies are often asked to provide printed products to organizers of such events.

The Long Beach BBQ Festival will be held at the Rainbow Lagoon from August 17 to 19. General admission tickets are $5 on Friday and $12 on Saturday and Sunday. Call 562-495-5959 for more information.
