Annual event returns to Massapequa Park

Organizers promise that this year’s Massapequa Park Street Fair will be bigger than ever.

Visitors to the free fair will have plenty to see and do this year, according to the Village of Massapequa Park, hosts for the popular yearly event. Over 150 vendors displaying arts and crafts will line the streets. The popular marketplace includes handmade goods of all types. Surrounding the vendor tables will be exciting activities, food and more. There will be sand art on display, martial arts demonstrations, and plenty of food.

Extreme face painting, a petting zoo, and plenty of bounce houses and mechanical rides for children are just a small sample of the activities available during the fair. Live music by three different bands, oyster shucking, and a sports arcade will ensure everyone has something to do. The fair even includes a car show and a mechanical bull, and local restaurants stay open for business throughout the day.

There is no fee to attend and everyone is welcome. The organizers recently announced on the Facebook page for the event that they have completed their poster printing and the details of the event are spreading around the community.

The fair takes place on August 5th from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, with an August 12th rain date. The tables and activities will stretch along Park Boulevard from Sunrise Highway to Clark Boulevard in Massapequa Park.
