Camp to offer summer fun for Charlotte’s LGBTQ community

July 9, 2018 by

Youth from Charlotte’s LGBTQ community who would like to add to their leadership and other skills while having fun in a supportive environment will be doing just that as part of an event taking place in Charlotte this summer.

Time Out Youth Center has organized a day camp for young people from the ages of 13 to 20. The programming has been developed to include ways for the campers to build on their skills in the areas of community service, social engagement, and leadership development all while meeting new friends and having fun.

This initiative will run from 10:30 am until 6:30 pm on each of the days on which it will be held, and the group will meet up at Time Out Youth Center to discuss the activities on the agenda for the day before heading out. Both lunch and dinner will be served to the group, and this is included in the registration fee.

Only a limited number of spaces are available for those who would like to be a part of this event, and they are expected to fill up quickly. Graphic design can be used by a printer to craft T-shirts and other clothing for an occasion like this.

Titled, ‘campOUT’, the event will run from July 30 until August 3. It will be located at 3800 Monroe Road in Charlotte.
