Student artwork on display at Fort Worth bus shelters

Winners of the Expressions That Move You Art Contest are now on display in city bus shelters and on buses throughout Fort Worth.

The art contest is open throughout each school year to all students from grades K-12. The art contest is a collaboration between Trinity Metro and the Fort Worth Independent School District. Winners have their artwork out on display for everyone to see, and the public benefits from the colorful and imaginative works created by the student artists.

The theme for the contest this year was, All The Places I’ll Go. Students were free to use their own interpretation of the theme in combination with what public transportation means to them as the guide for their final piece.

The competition this year included a total of 66 submissions from 34 local schools. Judges chose eight winners from the submissions and after a lot of poster printing to bring the colorful works to life on the Metro signs, the winning works were put on display. The public can now view the designs in bus shelters and on Trinity Metro buses around the city.

Visit the Trinity Metro website to see all the winning artworks as well as their artists. Visitors can also download a map of the display locations. The artwork will be in place from now until Labor Day Weekend.
