The summer is the time for street festivals in Portland

July 4, 2018 by

Several street fairs take place in Portland throughout the summer months and next month will be no exception. There are two fairs taking place that help to highlight specific neighborhoods in the city.

The first will be the 21st annual Alberta Street Fair, which is presented by and is a fundraiser for the Alberta Main St. organization. This is a popular event that attracts approximately 25,000 visitors each year. It will feature musical entertainment, beer gardens, and a number of local vendors selling arts and crafts and general merchandise.

Later on in the month, the Hawthorne Street Fair is taking place. It will have a musical stage on 38th Avenue, three beer gardens and children’s activities. There will also be a number of vendors located between 31st and 38th Streets.

These festivals offer a way for Portland residents to enjoy the summer and to learn what the various neighborhoods have to offer. Local flyer printing firms may be asked to provide printed materials for marketing events like these.

The Alberta Street Fair will be held on August 11. Admission is free, although a $2 donation is suggested. Call 503-683-3252 to learn more.

The Hawthorne Street Fair will take place on August 26 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Contact Nancy Chapin at 503-775-7633 for more information.
