The 4th annual Lents Fair is taking place next month in Portland.

A presentation of the Lents Neighborhood Association, the main part of the fair is the International Farmers Market that will be selling items such as local produce, arts and crafts and general merchandise. Various local community groups will also be providing information about the services they offer. Vendor spaces are still available; they are $60 each and span 10 x 10-feet in size.

There will be musical entertainment from Dave’s Killer Granddaddies, The Cabin Project, the Portland Kora Project and Rainbow Electric. Visitors will also have the chance to visit the Belmont Goats before they move to a new location.

A number of Food Trucks will be on hand, such as Smack Dab, and a beer garden will allow attendees to wash their fare down. There will also be a chicken beauty contest where the public votes for their favorite, with both children’s and adult’s categories. In addition, there will be raffles, face painting, history displays and prize giveaways.

Portland print shops often provide items such as banners to organizers of local fairs like this one.

The Lents Fair will be held at SE Harold Street and SE 92nd on August 5 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. Visit the official event website to learn more.
