Fall River waterfront hosts special festival

The Waterfront Art and Music Festival was recently held in Fall River and was attended by many in the area despite the rainy weather, which saw the arts and music moved indoors. Events were held inside the Visitor Center.

Co-founder of the Creative Arts Network, David Dennis, commented that attendees had been able to find their way inside and the festival was very active.

There were various vendors selling their goods. Children were entertained by magic shows and a balloon artist, with music and bands to attract the parents who brought their children. Several parents expressed their pleasure with the festival as a way to get out of the house and find something for everyone to enjoy.

The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is planning to hold several events at the waterfront park adjacent to Battleship Cove this summer. There will be other concerts and festivals, as well as free talks at lunchtime, outdoor family nights, and various kinds of exhibits.

Dennis added that he is more than happy to accommodate the DCR with their plans, as the location at Battleship Cove in Fall River is superlative.

Print shops can offer a range of printed materials to promote such activities and events in the community, and to help people enjoy what Fall River has to offer.
