The Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento has a range of summer activities for children in July and August.

Located at 216 O Street, about 3.5 miles from West Sacramento, the activities are free to members, and free with admission for nonmembers.

On Wee Wednesday Summer Edition, kids are invited to create arts projects. It is a way to introduce children ages 3 to12 to art projects and tour the museum. This activity will take place on July 11, 18, 25, and August 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm.

Artful Tot is another class that focuses on creating art using different materials. Aimed at toddlers 19 to 36 months, it uses clay, fabric, and mix colors. Guests are advised to dress for messy projects for this one, which is held from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm on July 13 and 14, and August 10 and 11.

The Kids and Company Gallery Adventure will give a tour to kids ages five and older through the gallery. This is held on July 15, August 5, and August 19 from 10:30 to 11:30 am.

Fourth Friday Fiesta de Animals/Animals Party takes place on July 27 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. A program of bilingual children’s stories, it offers a chance for children to learn and practice Spanish.

Fourth Friday Wild Wall explores art with painting murals and performance art. It will be held August 24 from 10:30 pm to 12:00 noon.

West Sacramento has print shops that can help museums with their fundraising and advertising of events.
