Cooking class to celebrate the traditional British garden party

June 30, 2018 by

This July, locals can enjoy a British cooking class featuring menu items popular at summer garden parties.

Menu selections include petite sandwiches, lemon mascarpone mousse with berry layers, fruit punch, cranberry vodka jelly shots, and raspberry mille feuille. Many of these dishes are classics, and the dishes cover a variety of courses. The class will recreate some of the British foods so participants have a better idea of what a garden party would be like in the UK. After the class, participants will enjoy the food they have helped to prepare, along with wine.

The class is available at The Cook’s Station, which is conveniently located on South Main Street in Greenville, and instructions will be provided. Dress is casual, and participants are encouraged to wear something they might not mind getting a little dirty. The Cook’s Station offers a variety of other classes as well, all of which come with instructions, and of course food afterwards. Most classes (unless otherwise stated) come with wine as well.

This class also includes recipes for participants to take home. The Cook’s Station will take advantage of printing services to have printed recipes ready for each participant to take home at the end of the class. The hope is that participants will create the dishes again, perhaps even for friends and family.

This class is scheduled for Monday, July 9, beginning at 6:00 pm. Reservations are required.
