June 29, 2018 by

The upcoming Depot Days are sponsored by the City of Erlanger, Erlanger Depot Museum, and the Kenton County Library. They offer summer educational events for adults and children at the Railroad Depot Park located at 3313 Crescent Avenue.

Most events take place on Tuesday and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 pm. Lunch is provided for those under 18 by the Erlanger/Elsmere Schools.

On July 5, they will have a Mobile Milking Classroom. Hosts will demonstrate modern milking procedures, and talk about nutrition. An ice cream social will follow the lunch. A nominal fee is charged for adults in all events.

On July 10, Nutrition and Outdoor Cooking will be the theme. Discussions will center on nutrition, making solar ovens, and sharing cooking ideas and stories.

The Astronomy program will be on July 12 and offers a chance to learn about the sun, moon and planets.

On July 19, the theme is Water Play. Information on activities will be available at later date.

On July 23, the theme is Music. Participants will learn about sound waves, make instruments, and share stories.

Picnic is the theme for July 26, with further info to be confirmed.

The Erlanger Depot Museum and Caboose will be open after the events depending on weather and staffing.

Erlanger has printing services that can assist museums, schools, libraries, businesses, retail shops, restaurants, associations, and clubs with design and flyer printing for special events and fundraising.
