Scottsdale has options for the Fourth

June 29, 2018 by

The Scottsdale area will offer at least four great options for celebrating Independence Day.

The longest running one will have a vintage air show, military tributes and three nights of concerts (a Bruno Mars Tribute band, New Wave, and a Michael Jackson tribute band) and six nights of fireworks. This venue has six summer photo backdrops and numerous natural beauty areas. Some pictures taken here will no doubt go to local print shops for poster printing.

The Phoenix Zoo also puts on quite a show. That one includes a barbeque, animal encounters, a bounce house, free carousel rides, a live DJ and fireworks over Temple Town Lake.

Westworld will offer a petting zoo, bull riding demos, a dinosaur encounter and fireworks.

For those who do not mind going out of town, the Verde Canyon Railroad is having a traditional Independence Day celebration. The day will begin with an old-fashion parade through Clarkdale. Afterwards, guests are invited to hear patriotic music, attend a barbecue, and take a Firecracker Express Ride. The finale will be a fireworks display.

The Freedom Festival will be at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, 7575 E. Princess Drive, from June 29 through July 4.

Fourth of Zooly will be at the Arizona Center for Nature Conservation, 455 N. Galvin Parkway, Phoenix from 7:00 pm until 10:00 on Wednesday, July 4.

The celebration at Westworld 16601 N. Pima Road will be from 3:00 pm until 9:30 pm.

Firecracker Express will be in Clarkdale, July 4 leaving at 1:00 pm.
