New candy shop opens in Frankfort

Dave and Pam Rafalski recently opened a second location of Raffy’s Candy Store in downtown Frankfort. The store fills a gap left by the closing of the Kernel Sweetooth last year.

The store will offer a wide selection of candy, including premium chocolate, as well as candy of a more nostalgic nature, and popcorn and nuts. Hard-packed ice cream, provided by Plush Horse in Palos Park, will also be available.

Dave Rafalski said they chose to add a second store in Frankfort after being visited by one of the owners of the Trolley Barn, where Kernel Sweetooth was located, and a few members of the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce visited their store in New Lenox and thought that Raffy’s would complement the shops in the downtown, given its reputation for style and passion for customer satisfaction.

They gave much thought about the opportunity and it was their employees, their customers from New Lenox and the surrounding communities, and the support of the community of Frankfort that made it possible for them to decide to open a shop in Frankfort, Rafalski added.

Printing services can be used to create various kinds of printed materials that can be distributed in the community so that people will become aware of such new shops and the experiences they can offer to their customers.
