New family store part of Baton Rouge Salvation Army

A new Family Store and Donation Center was recently opened by the Salvation Army of Greater Baton Rouge. Its location is between the Dollar Tree store and Home Depot.

A grand ribbon cutting event was held, over which Majors Brett and Mary Meredith officiated and red and white helium balloons filled the store in celebration of the opening.

Gently used items such as furniture, accessories, shoes, and clothing are available at the new store. The store will accept cash and all major credit cards for purchases.

It also serves as a drop-off spot that is covered and easily accessible. Proceeds from the store will benefit the Greater Baton Rouge Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Center, which is one of the projects of the Salvation Army, and the overall community of Baton Rouge.

Employees of the store commented that they are excited about opening the store as the original one was devasted by floods in 2016. It is important to the employees that people know when shopping at the store that they are helping in the mission of the Salvation Army and restoring the lives of men as they overcome their addictions.

Banner printing companies can be used so that people become aware of such stores and learn more about fundraising efforts and those who benefit from them.
