One of the most popular grocery chains in the country is expanding its home delivery service to include the Greater Cincinnati Area, of which Florence is part.

The dreaded job of grocery shopping may soon be a thing of the past for Florence residents who choose to take advantage of online grocery services that will soon become available.

According to Walmart, customers can place their order online and select a pickup time. One of Walmart’s personal shoppers will take it from there and pull the customer’s choices from the shelves and put them in a basket. Once an order is completed, the Walmart delivery service will be notified and will deliver the order within an hour of the client’s chosen delivery window.

With the Walmart grocery delivery service, payment is not made until the groceries arrive. According to the company, all in-store brands and groceries will be available via its online delivery service for the same price the items would be purchase in their stores. There will, however, be a $9.95 fee added to each order for delivery.

A flyer printing service will likely be engaged to announce when customers can begin ordering their groceries; at present no timeline has been revealed. In addition to Florence, the service will become available in Mason, Cincinnati, Milford, and Hamilton, Ohio.
