Reno ride to help culinary students make their dreams come true

June 23, 2018 by

Reno motorcycle owners have been invited to hit the road in support of a cause that will help local culinary students reach their future career goals.

The participants in the ‘Ride for Rose and Ryan’ will honor the memory of Ryan Volker and Rose Scarpa by helping to fund the scholarship that was founded in their names. The cost to participate is $25 each, and all riders are welcome.

The group will meet at Rancho San Rafael to enjoy a light meal of pastries and coffee while they register, and after this, they will head out. They will follow a route that will loop to Chilcoot then Sierraville, Trickee, and then back to Reno. When they reach the finish, there will be a chance to relax and socialize while enjoying a barbecue lunch.

At the end of the run, prizes will be awarded, and everyone is welcome to get involved whether or not they ride. Donations will be gratefully accepted, and area print shops can work with the planners of this type of occasion to supply any printed items they may need for the event.

This special occasion, which is being held in memory of two former students of the Culinary Institute of America, has been organized for August 5. Its online listing includes further details for anyone who wants to find out more.
