Greek restaurant opens in Gastonia area

Estia’s Kouzina, a new Mediterranean restaurant, has recently opened in Belmont, which is sufficiently close to Gastonia that residents of that community will want to try it out.

The cuisine includes both Mediterranean and Greek food, such as gyros, souvlaki, and moussaka, as well as some American fare. A variety of wine and cocktails and eight local beers on draught are available at the bar. Also served are small plates and tapas.

Around 240 people can sit in the main dining room. There is also a patio outdoors and several private dining rooms. Outside catering is also offered. Lunch and dinner are served at Estia’s Kouzina from Monday through Saturday.

Estia’s Kouzina, is named for the Greek goddess of home and the hearth and translates to “Estia’s Kitchen” in English.

Gus and Vicki Georgoulias have partnered with restaurateur Paul Lambrakis from Charlotte in ownership of the restaurant. Gus has been an owner and operator of several restaurants and nightclubs in Charlotte for the past 20 years.

A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for June 5 by the Montcross Area Chamber of Commerce. Sunday brunch will be served beginning on June 10.

Promotional products can be used to announce such openings to the community and the surrounding areas to inform people about new culinary options in the region.
