Hozier coming to San Diego

June 15, 2018 by

Irish singer-songwriter Andrew Hozier-Byrne, known as “Hozier,” has announced he’ll be performing a show in San Diego this year.

After several quiet years, Hozier is going back on the road with a tour of seventeen North American cities, and will be making an appearance at the Observatory in North Park. The venue is the former North Park Theatre, which has been completely renovated.

According to the artist, whose single biggest hit thus far is “Take Me to Church,” which was on his debut EP album, he will play music from the album he’s releasing in conjunction with the tour. “Take Me to Church” made it to No. 1 on iTunes, and at the 2015 Grammy Awards, where Hozier performed, it was nominated as “Song of the Year.” He released his first full-length album later in 2015, and re-issued “Take Me to Church” at that time; four more singles came off that album including “Cherry Wine,” “From Eden,” and “Work Song.” He also won VH1 Artist of the Year award later that same year.

Hozier is planning to kick off the tour in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, on September 15, and end in Vancouver, B.C., on October 22. He’ll be in San Diego on October 15, 2018. Tickets for the show are on sale now and will go quickly.

Organizers of this type of event could work with a poster printing company to create posters to advertise the show in advance.
