Long Island FunFest will be coming in mid-June. The 10-day event will have live entertainment, a large carnival mid-way and fireworks.

One of the featured performances will be the World of Wonders Amazement Show. Here, 10 acts and illusions will include fire eaters, sword swallowers, contortionists, trick ropers, and snake charmers. The Escape Explosion thrill show will have a Whiskey Barrel Escape, a Wild West whip cracking act, and a grand finale with a straitjacket escape. The Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean will be a battle between good pirates and bad ones on the high wire.

The main stage will feature music groups such as Klassic Rewind, Already Eddit, Frankie Justin, and dance performances by Dreamers Dance Academy, Positions Dance Studio and La Elegancia De La Salsa. The dance schools may take a few pictures to include in their 2018 brochure printing.

More amusements will be the petting zoo and the Butterfly Encounter.

The midway will be filled with attractions and over 30 rides. Spectacular rides will include the Delusion, Dream Wheel, Himalaya, and the Super Cyclone Rollercoaster. Major Rides will have bumper cars, a carousel, a scrambler and a tornado. The Bellerose smaller set will enjoy the Balloon Wheel, Happy Swing, fire trucks, helicopters, and the Elephant Parade.

Fireworks will be on both Saturday evenings.

FunFest will be from June 14 through June 24 at Suffolk Community College in Brentwood. Take the 535 exit off the Long Island Expressway and look for signs.
