Manassas hosts DC/Virginia Tiny House Festival

June 4, 2018 by

2018 DC Tiny House Festival is coming to Manassas in a few days. Attendees will be touring many tiny homes.

Guests can register for a workshop that will cover all aspects of constructing a tiny house. Build Tiny will construct a 16-foot tiny house during the event. Those who sign up for the workshop will work with tools and learn how to build the frame, install the insulation, and construct the subfloor.

Seminars in the show barn will be presented on topics such as traveling with a tiny house, tiny house FAQs, buying tiny houses, and how to live in them. Other presenters will be talking about tiny house villages, spiritual, and emotional benefits of downsizing, and where to park your new home.

The outdoor main stage will have performances by Frank Martin, Rock Baker, Calista Garcia and a concert featuring the Tiny House Band. Array of Light will offer fire performances and a workshop.

The Tiny House Stage will host speakers who will give six nine-minute per topic presentations. It will also host a home owner panel, a discussion on composting toilets, and solar energy.

New this year will be the Teenies’ Tiny World children’s area, and vendors will be onsite distributing business cards and information about their goods and services.

The Tiny House Festival will be June 15 through June 17 at the Prince William County Fairgrounds, 10624 Dumfries Road. Gates open at 5:00 pm.
