The 2018 Deming Logging Show is coming soon. The two-day event will display the latest trends in logging technology, tools and skills.

Over 25 feats of logging skills will have loggers vying for top logging honors. Along with the log rolling, tree topping, axe throwing, and pole falling, there will be best load of logs, cable splicing, trailer backing, and speed climbing. The Iron Man event will have each contestant performing four skills for the shortest time.

Two-man teams will compete in the Best Load of Logs Doubles and Double Bucking. Co-ed teams will compete for the Man and Pa bucking trophy. The Loggers’ Relay will be a competition of five-man teams working together through five logging skills.

Kids will be showing their skills in log rolling, tree climbing and manning one side of the Tug of War, where 31 kids will tug against 8 loggers.

The event will be selling promotional products such as hats, shirts, and sweatshirts. Many attendees go just for the BBQ, where meat choices will be roast beef, chicken and salmon.

The 2018 Deming Logging Show is slated for June 9 and 10 on the Deming Logging show grounds at 3295 Cedarville, Road. The shows start at 1:00 pm. Eliminations will begin at 11:00 am Saturday and gates will open at 10:00 am on that day only.
