Veterans from Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities who are facing issues related to housing, finances, or other matters can find assistance and support at the upcoming Veteran Summer Stand Down.

This event, which will connect vets with people who understand their needs and concerns, will include input from a variety of service providers. The assistance will be offered at no cost, and this daylong event will be held in Veterans Place Service Center.

Those who attend the function can access services related to housing, veterans’ benefits, employment, legal assistance, food, and clothing. They will also be able to meet with others who are going through similar experiencing so that they can build connections with one another.

The community is invited to get involved with this day of helping those who served their country. Anyone who would like to lend a hand has been asked to contact mernst@veteransplaceusa.org. Stationery printers can be called upon to design and print any forms needed to help keep an event like this organized.
