This year’s commencement ceremonies at Endicott College in Beverly are coming up.

One ceremony will be for professional and graduate students in the Van Loan School. The speaker at that ceremony will be Dr. Oneeka Williams. Dr. Williams has written several books for children that promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) for minorities and girls. An honorary degree will also be bestowed on Keith Miller, a veteran of the United States State Department.

The other ceremony will be held for the undergraduate college. The speaker will be the chief executive officer of Barnes & Noble, Inc., Demos Parneros. Assistant Professor and Internship Coordinator in the School of Business, Catherine Butler, will receive the Excellence in Teaching Award.

Graduates from both schools number 1,232 in total: 30 associates degrees, 756 bachelor’s degrees. 428 master’s degrees, and 18 doctoral degrees will be awarded.

The ceremony for the students from the Van Sloan School will take place at the school on Thursday, May 17, at 6:00 p.m. while the ceremony for the undergraduates will take place Saturday, May 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Hempstead Stadium on the campus of Endicott College.

Poster printing companies can be hired to create posters that can be displayed throughout the campus and in the surrounding community so that people will know about such special ceremonies.
