Children’s storytelling event stops by in Fort Worth

May 11, 2018 by

A free book is available for all children that attend an event organized by the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum.

Telling the complete story of the American West is the goal of the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum. The organization works to increase awareness of historical events by using art created at the time the activities were taking place. The stories are revealed through photographs, artifacts, and journals.

Every child that attends the event will receive a free book, but they must be present at the time of the giveaway. Storytelling is a weekly event at the museum and this special opportunity is a way for people to see what the program has to offer as well as to learn more about the history of the West. Children see firsthand how people told their tales before print shops and social media existed.

The admission price for the event is $6 for adults and $5 for seniors (with the fee waived for all chaperones), $3 for children and free for those age five and under. Contact the museum to register or go online to the Eventbrite website to reserve a space.

The storytelling and giveaway are on May 12 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The museum is located at 3400 Mount Vernon Avenue in Fort Worth.
