McKinney set to mark Independence Day with a bang

May 13, 2018 by

This July, McKinney will be joining other communities all across America in celebrating the nation’s birthday, and a full schedule of activities have been planned to mark the occasion.

The free festivities will offer something for everyone, and the day will get off to a rousing start with a parade in the city’s downtown. There will also be a truck, car and cycle show and a huge block style party where friends and neighbors can meet and have fun. All ages are welcome.

Many of the businesses that are in the downtown area will be showing off what they have to offer, and these range from small shops and service providers to restaurants and other enterprises. Print shops can design and produce materials, such a posters, banners, flyers and brochures to local companies that can help them put their best foot forward during an occasion like this.

This day of patriotic fun will keep on going well into the evening hours. The McKinney Soccer Complex will be the site for kids’ activities, music, food and a big fireworks display when the sun goes down. Due to the noise of the event, those who plan on coming out have been asked to leave the four legged members of the family at home.

All of this excitement will be held on July 4. The organizers of the festivities have provided more information, including an opportunity to register to be included in the parade, on the city’s website.
