Conroe goes ‘Tastefesting’

May 8, 2018 by

H-E-B is presenting its 8th Annual Tastefest the first week in June. The three-hour all-you-can-eat affair will be open to the public, and over 1,500 guests are expected to attend.

Over 50 local restaurants, bakeries, and eateries – and other food industry businesses – will be serving three-ounce samples of their specialties. Some of these vendors will be Spectrum Catering, Incredible Pizza Company, Smokey Mo’s, Russo’s New York Pizzeria, Costco Wholesale, and of course H-E-B’s Cooking Connection Kiosk. Many booths will have live cooking demonstrations, raffles, and games.

Guests will want to ask the businesses that offer their favorite food items for business cards as the event will not allow any merchandise to be sold or money exchanges of any kind.

Individual tickets can be purchased $15 in advance on the Tastefest 2018 website, or $25 at the door on the day of the event. Cheaper tickets can be purchased through ticket packages of 10, 20, and 25 tickets which can only be purchased online or through Conroe Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce members. Children ages five and under can eat free.

Proceeds from this event will go to support the Chamber’s programs. Leftover food and drinks will again be donated to Keep US Fed Montgomery County, adding to the previous total of over 400lbs. donated in the past.

The 8th Annual Testefest will be June 7 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Lone Star Convention Center, 9055 Airport Road.
