Vero Beach festival planned in search of the area’s best burger

April 27, 2018 by

A competition to identify Vero Beach’s best burger is on the way, and a variety of other fun will also be on offer as part of the Burgers and Brews celebration.

The festivities are open to all ages, and will include a full afternoon and evening of activities. While burgers will be the stars of the show, there will be other food available for purchase as well, and local brewers will be showcasing some of their offerings.

The Indian River County’s Best Burger contest will include entries from an assortment of local eateries, and each person who would like to sample them can purchase a punch card that will allow them up to five tastings. After they have sampled the sliders, the tasters will be able to cast their vote for the best, and the winner will receive the title of ‘People’s Choice’.

Along with the food, there will be lots of other fun. Entertainment will be on offer throughout the event, and there will be vendors on site, as well as games and a dunk tank where the public can try their luck at landing a local celebrity in the drink. Free lawn seating will be available, and there will be lots to see and do for all ages. A portion of the proceeds from the occasion will be donated to United Against Poverty, and print shops can be called upon to provide items that can help to ensure it is a success.

Burgers and Brews will be held on June 30 in Downtown Vero Beach. Its Facebook listing include further details.
