Pittsburgh bowlers invited to take to the lanes to help wildlife

Pittsburgh bowlers and those who would like to do their part to help ensure the long-term survival of many difference species of wild animals are invited to participate in an evening on the lanes in support of the American Association of Zookeepers’ (AAZK) conservation efforts.

Bowling for Rhinos was first held 26 years ago, and it has been going strong ever since. It is hosted by 80 chapters of AAZK, and the proceeds are used to protect both wild animals and their habitats. The local AAZK group will be joining with other in the USA and Canada with a goal of topping last year’s fundraising total.

Each person who registers will receive shoe rental and bowling, as well as food and a specially designed T-shirt. Promotional products like this can be crafted by a print company. To help maximize the impact of the event, there will be a raffle as well as a silent auction and even split draw, and there will be prized awarded for both the top fundraisers and also the bowlers with the best and worst scores.

This opportunity to have fun with friends, while helping to ensure that animals in various conservation lands around the world will be around for a long time to come, will be held on Saturday, June 16 at 212 44th Street in Pittsburgh. All who are interested are welcome to participate.
