Morton Grove residents who are living with macular degeneration and other causes of vision loss, and whowould like to find out more about these conditions and the latest research and treatment options, may wish to clear a space in their summer diary for a local event.

The Macular Degeneration Association will be bringing ‘Your Eyesight Matters’ to Skokie and anyone who would like to take part in this free learning event is welcome. It will be facilitated by an expert in the field, and will provide a supportive environment.

The program, which will run for half a day, will include an assortment of presentations, including one from a patient ambassador who is currently living with an eye disease and will share their story and coping strategies. There will also be time for the attendees to meet others and build a support network.

A variety of vendors from the area will be on site with displays set up for those who take part to browse through, and breakfast will be served. Brochure printing services for this type of informational event can be sourced from an area printer.

This event, which will focus on vision loss and the latest treatments and prevention measures, will be held in the Doubletree Chicago- Northshore Conference Center in Skokie. It has been planned for July 28th, and anyone who would like additional details has been asked to visit the organizer’s website.
