Mansfield fundraiser to help pound out ALS

April 16, 2018 by

The inaugural Pour and Pound fundraiser has been planned for Mansfield, and it will give everyone who comes out a way that they can have fun learning to get fit while helping to support investigation into new treatments for ALS.

This event, which will be family friendly, will combine a POUND workout session with a glass of local craft beer. The Phoenix Brewing Company has partnered with the organizer to host the activity, and has provided both a venue and the pints that will be served.

Those who register for the occasion can choose from three different time slots, and they are asked to bring along a yoga mat. They are also reminded to wear sunscreen as, if the weather permits, the workouts will take place outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine. The exercise portion of the activity will be led by Lisa McManes, who is a Certified POUND Pro.

The event is being held as a fundraiser for The ALS Therapy Development Institute, and the proceeds will be donated to this organization. A banner printing company can supply festive decorations for this type of activity that match the high energy of the day.

The Phoenix Brewing Company, which is located at 131 North Diamond Street will be the site for this activity, and it has been planned for May 19. The registration fee is $19 person, and it will be family friendly.
