Cedar Park invited to hit the links for a cause

April 4, 2018 by

A cancer diagnosis can often impact a person’s mental health, and Cedar Park golfers who would like to make a difference will soon have an opportunity to do so.

The Flatwater Foundation has planned its first ever golf fundraiser, and it will be taking place at Twin Creeks Country Club. The organizers have arranged for the participants to enjoy a day out on the links, and all of the extras will be included in the registration fee. The foundation will utilize the monies raised to fund its programs that provide professional counseling services, opportunities for exercise and recreation, and help to remove the stigma around asking for mental health help.

The golfers will be treated to golf as well as food and prize draws. Those who wish can choose to just relax or take part in friendly competition with their fellow golfers. The registration fee is $50,000 for a four-person team, and this includes the use of the putting greens and driving range, as well as green fees and a cart. Both breakfast and lunch will also be provided, and swag bags will be distributed. Promotional products for this type of occasion can be supplied by an area printer.

The organizers have announced that they welcome the assistance of any local businesses that would like to act as hole or event sponsors for the activity. More details about this can be obtained at jessicalombardi7@gmail.com .

This day of golf for a cause has been organized for April 30. Everyone who would like to be included is welcome, and the organization’s website can be consulted for more information.
