Greenville to host BBQ cook-off

April 4, 2018 by

The city of Greenville, along with Project Host and the South Carolina BBQ Association, will be hosting its 9th Annual BBQ Cook-Off and Festival later this month.

The BBQ cook-off will feature events such as an ‘Anything Butt BBQ Contest’, concerts, and group barbecue tastings. The cook-off will also have local vendors, kids’ games, and more family fun entertainment for visitors. At the end of the event, awards will be given out to the best cooks at the contest.

The event will be held on April 27 and 28 and it will be located by the Reedy River near 320 South Hudson Street, where the city intends on building a new park. The main events will be taking place from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on April 27th and from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on April 28. There is no cost to attend the event and no registration is required of those who are interested in attending. However, it will cost money to take part in tasting the food and tickets will be sold to those who are interested in eating.

For those who would like to learn more about the event, become a cook at the event, or become a sponsor, more information can be found at the Project Host website. The information about the barbecue can be found on the tab at the top and the page will feature the main logo design.
