Studio City meets 2018 candidates

March 16, 2018 by

With the Special Primary Election coming early in April in mind, a 2018 Candidate Forum will be held next week.

This is an opportunity for the public to meet those candidates running for District 39 in California’s State Assembly. Several of District 39 Neighborhood Councils will be hosting the event, and the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles will be moderating. Light refreshments will be served.

Although the event will be free and open to the public, interested parties are asked to register online. This will give the event organizers some estimate of attendance, and will also facilitate the registration process on site. As this will be a first-come-first-seated event, attendees are advised to arrive early.

The candidates will be speaking for two hours, and although no promotional products, banners, signs or placards will be allowed in the venue, candidates will be displaying and passing out materials in designated areas outside the venue after the event.

Attendees may want to access the Alex Padilla California Secretary of State website to get up to speed on the special primary election, candidate and voter information before heading out to the event.

The 2018 Candidate Forum will be March 21 at the Saticoy Elementary School Main Auditorium at 7850 Ethel Avenue, North Hollywood. The auditorium is between Elkwood Street and Blythe Street. Doors will open at 6:30 pm and the candidates will speak from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
