The Graffiti/Street Art Contest & Art Walk is celebrating graffiti artists and dogs with its family-friendly event this weekend.

The Box Office Warehouse Suites is an all-new business park that is crafted from recycled containers for shipping. Five artists have been invited to create murals on the buildings for the competition. In addition, the dog-friendly event is benefiting the SPCA of Texas, so pet adoptions and a pet costume contest are planned.

The day will include plenty of free food, musical performances, and a DJ. Food trucks will be on-site as well as many street artists and other vendors. Games, dancers and much more will also be taking place. Tour one of the container business suites or sign up to win one of the many prizes.

A $1,500 prize will be awarded to the artist with the best container, or ‘Art on a Can’ mural design. Local artists can start poster printing or brochure printing to enjoy the day and get some attention for their work.

The event is scheduled for this Saturday, March 17, at the Box Office Warehouse Suites at 1953 Golden Heights Road in Fort Worth. The festival opens at 11:00 am and lasts until 5:00 pm. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under. All money from ticket sales and other proceeds will go to the Texas SPCA.
