Local organization hosts a day at the beach

The Best Day Foundation, Florida Chapter, is hosting its annual Fun at the Beach celebration next month for two days.

The event is for children and young adults between the ages of 4 and 24 who have special needs – either physical or developmental. The Best Day Foundation provides them with various adventure activities aimed at increasing self-esteem and helping them stretch their limits.

There will be plenty of fun activities taking place during the event. This will include tandem surfing, stand-up paddling, and kayaking. There will also be body-building exercises, a beach obstacle course, and other beach games. All the gear needed to perform these activities is provided to each participant. Each child is teamed up with a beach buddy who will help them.

In addition, there will be photo opportunities and an awards presentation. The day will finish off with a hot lunch for everyone who participated.

Parents of special needs children in Pompano Beach are sure to be interested in this event. To help spread the word, organizers of such events may invest in flyer printing services.

The Fun at the Beach celebration will be held at Pompano Beach Fishing Pier on April 21 and 22 from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm. To learn more, and to register a child, call the Best Day Foundation at 510-332-7752.
