Evanston gala to lend animals a helping hand

March 9, 2018 by

Evanston animal lovers have been asked to be generous in their support of a special occasion that has been planned by the community’s Animal Shelter.

The Evanston Animal Shelter Association will be hosting its Tails in Bloom gala fundraiser, and it promises to be a fun-filled evening for all who attend. Food, auctions, draws and other activities are all on the agenda, and the proceeds will be used to help care for local lost, abandoned, and unwanted animals, and assist them in finding loving homes.

Guests at the function will be treated to both a pizza and sushi bar, and there will also be passed appetizers. This will be followed by a plated dinner and visits to the dessert bar. Beer and wine will be poured at the open bar, and a cash cocktail service will also be available.

Both silent and live auctions are on the schedule for the night, and there will also be a paddle raise and even-split draw. The occasion will be hosted local media personalities, and the event is open to anyone age 21 and over. Banner printing and other services for this type of event can be provided by an area printing company.

This gala fundraiser in support of the area’s furry, feathery and scaly residents will be held on April 7 at 303 Dodge Avenue in Evanston. The shelter’s Facebook page includes more details about the festivities.
