Studio City loves chocolate and art

February 13, 2018 by

Studio City’s art and chocolate connoisseurs will be heading for the famous underground art show the Chocolate and Art Show coming in a few days.

Hosted by Chocolate and Art Show and Moby Arts, the two-day event will give local talented artists, creators, and photographers an occasion to display and sell their work. Chocolate will be free.

The event will have live music with five bands playing each night. Bands on the lineup will include Canz and Windows, Canto, Dianthus, The Lillies, and Lost Spaniards. DJ Jon Chris will take over both nights from midnight until 2:00 am.

Epic Tacos will be one of the many food vendors selling fresh tacos and burritos on handmade tortillas.

Revelers will be able to get their faces painted and the more daring ones may opt for body painting. Those who do get the body painting option may want to get some pictures of themselves for later poster printing.

Proceeds from the event will go to Artists for Trauma. This charity organization pairs recovering trauma patients in local hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and trauma support centers with artists from many creative disciplines with the mission to provide fun, adaptive, artistic experiences during the long-term recovery process.

The Chocolate and Art Show will be February 16 and 17 at the Vortex, 2341 E. Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles. The hours will be 8:00 pm until 2:00 am. Street parking will be free and tickets will run from $15 to $20.
