Children’s festival returns to Portland

January 10, 2018 by

KidFest is returning to Portland for two days next month.

There will be plenty of activities taking place that are sure to appeal to children of all ages.

There will be three stages providing entertainment from acts such as Sophie the Clown and Mad Science, and there will also be storytime with Belle. There are set to be interactive STEM-related activities, a petting zoo, and family bingo games. The festival will be divided into several areas, such as SportsFest, which will have golf, snow ski classes, ultimate Frisbee, and laser tag. BabyFest, meanwhile, is for the younger children in attendance.

There will be an Eco Family Zone, and exotic animal exhibit and a cooking stage. Bicycle helmets will be on sale for $5 each and kids’ ID kits will be available for free. Other activities include meeting and greeting Disney princesses and the Iron Kid Chef Competition.

In addition, vendors will be on hand to sell and showcase products related to children.

Children with disabilities and special needs will be admitted one hour before the general public.

Portland stationery printing companies are often asked to help advertise upcoming events such as this by providing materials such as posters and flyers.

KidFest will be held at the Portland Expo Center from February 17 to 18. Admission is $6 or $25 for a family pass. Contact Lori Washburn at 360-514-0767 for the most current information.
