Boulder group to host frugal eating workshop

Budget conscious Boulder residents will soon have a chance to learn more about how they can cook nutritious meals that can be very easy on their pocketbooks.

The Low Waste Cooking Class has been organized by Be Zero, which is a local organization that seeks to educate people about how they can live sustainable lifestyles. It has been planned as a hands on style function, and the meal will be both plant based and nourishing.

Guests who attend the class will learn how to make a gomasio-seasoned gluten free macaroni and cheese casserole, as well as lentil soup. They will also discover how they can easily prepare a skillet supper that includes sweet potatoes, quinoa, caramelized onions and kale, which will be followed by a simple dessert of chocolate chia pudding. Reusable pop up banners can be used to help make the public aware when an event like this is taking place.

One the lesson is over; the attendees will be invited to share in the meal while they socialize and enjoy spending the afternoon together. The tickets are being sold for $45.00 each, and as only a limited number are available, anyone who would like to participate is urged to purchase theirs well ahead of time.

This introduction to healthy eating that is also frugal will be held on January 28th, and it will be taking place at 3676 Pinedale Street in Boulder. More details can be found by visiting the Be Zero website.
