Water conservation presentation planned near Snellville

Water can be a very precious resource, and during a presentation that has been planned for the Snellville area, the public will discover a variety of simple ways to conserve it.

The Collins Hill branch of the Gwinnet County Public Library will be offering area residents an opportunity to learn more about what they can do, in their own homes, to help lower their water consumption. It is part of the Homeowner H2O initiative that was developed by the Department of Water Resources.

During the presentation, guests will find out more about how to detect and repair leaks in their home plumbing systems and the benefits of installing and using fixtures that make efficient use of water. There will also be a discussion about how people can make simple changes in their daily behaviors that can help to conserve this resource.

The workshop, which is being offered free of charge to members of the community, will be held at 455 Camp Perrin Road in Lawrenceville. A printer will be able to use digital copying to produce handouts and other materials that can be distributed to those who participate in an educational event like this.

January 13 has been chosen as the date for his event, and anyone who would like to find out more can do so by visiting its listing on the Snellville Patch website.
