Orlando residents add German touch to 2018 welcome

December 16, 2017 by

All are invited to the local New Year’s Eve celebration planned by the German American Society of Central Florida.

Music, food, and plenty of beverages will be available for partygoers at the 2017 New Year’s Eve ball. This is a family-friendly event that will include the band Sonnenschein Express. The live music will highlight modern and traditional German hits, as well as plenty of polkas. The admission also includes a buffet dinner of German favorites and an open bar with wine, beer, as well as nonalcoholic options too.

The event offers an opportunity for anyone with German ancestors that wants to meet others in the Orlando area that share their heritage. Such groups may wish to use their next round of newsletter printing to help spread the word about the German American Society.

Formal attire is required to attend the December 31 event. Admission fees are $15-$60 for non-members when pre-purchased, while members of the society get a $10 discount per ticket and pre-orders receive a $5 discount. Children aged 11 and younger who will be eating from the buffet get in free. Visit Eventbrite to purchase tickets and for the pricing structure. Free on-site parking is available for the evening.

The event will be held at 381 Orange Lane in Casselberry. The doors open at 5:00 pm and the party continues until 1:30 am on January 1.
