Mercedes-Benz open now in El Cajon

December 11, 2017 by

Car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz recently held a grand opening celebration to welcome customers to its new El Cajon dealership.

The new facility is at the corner of Wagner Drive and Marshall Avenue, and spreads over five acres.

Bill Wells, the mayor of El Cajon, was delighted by the move, noting that the German company is making a sizeable investment in El Cajon. The dealership is likely to bring customers to El Cajon to buy high-end automobiles, and it also will mean well-paying jobs for city residents.

El Cajon has a long-standing relationship with the automobile industry, with one of the city’s most popular events being the Cajon Classic Cruise, which takes place weekly from April through October. The new dealership will comprise 70,000 square feet, and is the 12th new car dealer to open in the city. Construction of a 13th dealership selling Land Rovers and Jaguars will start early in 2018.

The Mercedes-Benz dealership is owned by the Oremor Automotive Group, which is stepping up to invest in El Cajon for the second time. In 2015, it opened its first spot in the city, remodeling a former BMW facility. Doug Williford, the city manager, acknowledged the city’s appreciation of Oremor’s ongoing investment in the community, which he said will help improve the quality of life for residents.

Facilities like this can be made festive if managers work with a banner printing company to create seasonal banners to decorate the venue.
