Cottonwood Heights welcomes Joshua Creek

Cottonwood Heights is ushering in the holidays with the help of Joshua Creek, a folk-rock band that offers songs in three-part harmonies, as well as original stories about family and fun.

Joshua Creek has spent the last 12 years building a loyal and strong fan base that loves their music, and has also been praised by the press and radio professionals. Thus far, the band has released one DVD of a live performance, as well as six studio albums. Jeff Hinton, the lead singer, is often described as sounding like a blend of James Taylor and John Denver.

The band’s songs are played in both local and national markets, and they had No. 1 hits on the country-Gospel charts with their songs ‘What Kinda Car?’ and ‘Love You Son’. An FCMA Pearl Award named them ‘Songwriter of the Year’, and their songs have been featured in indie films and on television. Band members have combined musicianship, songwriting, and storytelling into a format that has seen them tour a number of venues.

The concert, called ‘A Country Christmas’, is suitable for the entire family, and will take place at the Cottonwood Heights Theater, located in Butler Middle School. The evening starts at 7:30 pm on December 16.

Organizers of this kind of event might consider creating colorful, festive, seasonal banners to use as decorations for the venue.
