Wauwatosa to host SSIG event

December 8, 2017 by

The Student Special Interest Group (SSIG) for physical therapy students in the state has planned its second annual Wisconsin Student Enclave in Wauwatosa, and it is open to future professional physical therapists from across Wisconsin.

The daylong function will provide lots of learning opportunities and career exploration, as well as chances to listen to speakers, network with other students and professionals, and share best practices as well. The keynote speaker for the occasion will be Phil Schaible, and breakfast will be provided in the morning courtesy of Career Tree.

Throughout the morning, there will be an assortment of icebreakers to help the delegates get to know one another a little bit better, and these will be followed by a meeting to discuss SSIG business. After this, there will be a career fair and lunch, and the afternoon will be dedicated to presentations, break out groups, and closing ceremonies. The event will be capped off with pub night-themed student meet and greets. Presentation folders, swag, and other items for an symposium like this can be sourced from a printing company in the area.

This day of learning and career exploration will be taking place in Bryant and Stratton College in Wauwatosa on January 27, and tickets start at $5 each. The SSIG Facebook page includes more details about the day for anyone who needs them.
