American Legion conference coming to Baraboo

December 3, 2017 by

The American Legion will soon be hosting a conference in Baraboo’s Ho Chunk Convention Center, and members from across the state are encouraged to attend.

This will be the organization’s 94th year for the event, and both business meetings and training are included in the schedule. The various committees will meet and discuss the issues that are of an interest to them, and there will also be several choices when it comes to dining.

Along with the meetings and educational opportunities, there will be many other activities included in the weekend-long event. A blood drive has been scheduled for the Saturday morning, and there will also be an oratorical contest, funeral honors, a chaplain’s luncheon, and an assortment of learning opportunities for those who take part. Several ticket options are available, and a special price will be offered to anyone who registers early. Presentation folders and swag for this type of function can be both designed and then produced by a print company in the local area.

This three-day conference for the American Legion’s Wisconsin Department has been set for the weekend of January 18 to 21. The Legion’s website contains more information, as well as a chance to register to participate as a delegate and also find out about the different classes and workshops that will be offered.
